Robert Newton Hurley: Skypainter

...is an exhibit of materials from the Robert Newton Hurley fonds, a painter who specialized in Saskatchewan landscapes.

R.N. Hurley was born in London but moved to Canada in 1923, where he worked at the University of Saskatchewan at the Dominion Plant Pathology Laboratory, and created beautiful water colour paintings of the Saskatchewan landscape.

This site contains a database of his photography, which he often used as reference material for his paintings, and well as some images of his paintings themselves.

This site was created in 2016 by Amy Putnam.
