Book of Remembrance accepted by Dean of Libraries
On Wednesday, December 10th, Dean Vicki Williamson accepted a copy of the Book of Remembrance, which was put together in order to honour the citizens of Saskatoon and members of the University of Saskatchewan community lost in the First World War and to commemorate the centenary of the beginning of that War. The book, now available at the University Archives and Special Collections, as well as at the City Archives and all of Saskatoon's Public Libraries contains the names and brief biographies of 622 citizens of Saskatoon and 69 individuals from the University of Saskatchewan lost in the First World War. It is the intent of the Military Institute of Saskatoon to develop similar books of remembrance commemorating the citizens lost in the Second World War, the Korean War and subsequent actions.
