Throughout the duration of our "What's on the Menu?" exhibit, we will be posting weekly exerpts from The Dinner Calendar , published in 1915 by Fannie Merrott Farmer of the Boston Cooking School. This fascinating little book outlines a menu for each day of the year, and provides a more detailed recipe for one thing from that menu each day. The copy held by the University of Saskatchewan's Archives and Special Collections belonged to the mother of U of S alumni Grace Pine.
