Archives Week, 2016

Join us for our yearly celebration of archives and archivists in Saskatchewan.

Heritage Festival:
Visit with representatives from several of Saskatoon's own archival institutions at the Heritage Festival, 12:00 - 5:00 on Sunday February 7th at the Western Development Museum. Have any burning historical questions to ask? Want to take a walk down memory lane through bygone yearbooks and student newspapers? Interested in entering a draw to win a book of work by one of Saskatchewan's most well known photographers? Stop by our table!

Reader's Event:
This event provides an opportunity to interact with historical materials first-hand as they are expertly read by some of Saskatoon's local celebrities. This year, expect engaging, humorous, and heartfelt performances by Pat Atkinson (former MLA), Kevin Stanfield (Global TV Weather Specialist), Elaine Hnatyshyn (former City Councillor and columnist), Sherrill Miller (intuitive coach and inspirational speaker), David Kirton (CKOM Radio Host) and Jack Walton (musician/film maker). Taking place at the classic Roxy theater, the Archives Week reading event provides an ideal outing for anyone looking for an evening of diversion and immersion in our local history.
Thursday, February 11 - 7pm-9pm
