Abstract:
This CIA Vietnam Station report gives an account of all aspects (organizational structure, voter turnout, Viet Cong sabotage efforts, etc.) of the South Vietnamese 1967 Presidential Election. Although the final figures were not in yet, the report said that it appeared that the Thieu-Ky military ticket would win the election with about 32-35% of the votes. Truong Dinh Dzu, a dark horse, would be the runner-up with the other two civilian tickets, Tran Van Huong - Mai Tho Truyen, and Phan Khac Suu - Phan Quang Dan, would be coming in third and fourth.
