Abstract:
This CIA Report provides expressed opinions of some villagers in the coastal areas of North Vietnamese provinces between the 17th and 20th parallels. The fishermen linked the bombing of North Vietnam to the active pursuit of the war in the South by the Hanoi regime. They did not believe in the govdernment's propaganda that many US aircraft were shot down. Most of them admitted that the principal targets of US bombing raids were military and security facilities.
