Abstract:
Viewed from Peiping and Hanoi, the guerilla-subversive war to dislodge US forces and influence and establish Communist control in Laos and South Vietnam is doubtless going very well indeed. The tactics which after eight years had won them victory in the North bid fair to succeed for them in the South in the same way. They certainly believe that if they push on relentlessly, mixing aggression against the pro-Western governments in Laos and South Vietnam with caution in respect to the United States, their goals can be reached.
