Abstract:
Bad weather limited air activity over North Vietnam to a level substantially lower than the 10,700 sorties averaged monthly during the past three months. About 3,000 less sorties were flown in September. Most of the effort continued to be against the transport system, which showed some improvement in comparison with the previous period. The most significant strikes were in the Haiphong area, particularly those against the rail and highway bridges.
