Step into the rich tapestry of Ruth Williamson's life in "Miss G and Me" by Jennifer S. Wallace. Ruth, affectionately known as Miss G, embarked on a journey from her Jamaican roots to pursue nursing in England, later forging her own path to Canada in the late 1960s. Settling in rural Saskatchewan, she navigated the cultural landscape while carving out a remarkable career in nursing spanning over forty years. Against the backdrop of the Canadian Prairies, Ruth's story unfolds, including her groundbreaking mixed-race marriage to Ian MacLeod in 1971. Through her experiences, she not only embraced diversity but also became a mentor to women and children from varied backgrounds.
