Abstract:
For the moment the most important problem for the North Vietnamese was the transportation of material from China as this can only be done at night. North Vietnamese industries are now producing 40 percent below normal because of the latest U.S. raids. Despite the "massacre of the people by the bombardment of Hanoi and Haiphong", the North Vietnamese population remained persuaded that they are going straight to victory.
